ART MAKING FOR ANXIETY & STRESS RELIEF / Sunday, July 14th 10am-12pm (13 years +)
Are you an anxious human like me? I have found art to be such a helpful and therapeutic way to channel my anxious and stressed energy and have made some of my favorite work while feeling those strong, uncomfortable feelings. I will walk you through some of the techniques that I love for releasing hard feelings and my hope is that you will leave with new creative tools for your self-care toolbox. We'll explore repetition, movement, fluidity, mark making as ways to connect to our emotional selves. We'll use a variety of tools including watercolor, acrylic inks, and pen and ink. Our approach will be intuitive and abstract. Prepare to make a beautiful mess with me!
This class is open to anyone 13 years and older (teens and adults welcome)! All supplies are included and there is no previous art making experience necessary.
